rubber band ball progress, originally uploaded by m patrizio.

Here is the ball I mentioned a few posts ago. Stay tuned for more intriguing rubber band developments.

I don't recommend you breathing on anyone after you eat them though.

In the works-

Soon I want to open up a little shop to sell the sturdy canvas bags that I designed for Funtote. Here is the page from the Funtote catalog so you can check them all out. If anyone is interested in pre-ordering let me know and I will offer you free shipping*

*limited time offer to the 3 or 4 people who actually look at this blog. I accept payments in PayPal ($35) and also in Belgian chocolates (the good stuff not the store bought crap from the U.S.), or a lifetime supply of cotton candy and brick oven pizza.

Politically active Timmie?

Cute picture of Timmie #112 by What Dat?.

In other Timmie news I have re-listed Timmie #129 in my etsy shop. In other non-Timmie related news I've started a rubber band ball from the rubber bands the post man leaves in my mailbox. Yes, this is how I spend my exciting weekends.

Horton website is LIVE!

Yay! The website I've been working on for the book "Horton Hears a Who" by Dr. Seuss is up and running. Check out HortonHears.com to see some of my Flash design work.

Herb + Fruit Cleansers

I just came across these herb + fruit cleansers at Williams-Sonoma yesterday. They smell so delicious and are way better for the environment than traditional household cleansers. I looked at the fine print and saw they were made by the company Caldrea.

happy valentine's day!

Hope everyone has a loving day today. I am going to try to hunt down some new shoes in Manhattan this afternoon. Shoes = True Love. Maybe I will meet up with Sal too :)

hello

I put this on the door to my apartment a few years ago. It makes me feel like someone (thing) actually cares.

So, how are YOU today? Tell me.

chewing gum vs eraser gum

These 2 objects ended up by chance near each other on my drawing table. Aren't they so similar!?

Okay, I will get back to work now.

Some bun buns stepping into the shop!

Day trip to the Norman Rockwell Museum

Stockbridge, MA

Unfortunately this cute looking shop was closed the day I went.

Turquoise crosswalk- gotta love it!

I love the "Take a kid fishing".

This is the most fog I've been in. Well, in recent memory. It was hairy scary driving in this much fog.

Here is the loot from the trip. Rosebud Salve, Clark's chewing gum, pure vanilla extract for my mama, and a giant postcard of an awesome painting from the Norman Rockwell Museum.

I just added a listing for an individually packaged M&B note card on Etsy.

I love the fun font on this olive soap!

must.re.sist.

I'm lovin' this glass by Poppins available at Pancake Meow. I would want 90% of the Imports section on that site. You have to also check out the Decole stacking mugs. This tree stacking mug is so great!

Cloth covered journals featuring my illustrations.

another collab with pappi pants

made from recycled wood, recycled blade, left over paint and a broken broomstick.

This is how our collaborations work:
1. I draw a detailed sketch of what I want and how it should function.
2. He (my father) completely ignores my sketches and does whatever he wants.
3. Then I paint it.

I do have to give him a genius pat on the back for the recycled blade. You know what this is? He took this cutter from an empty box of saran wrap! And also another pat on the back for the spare blade on the top right side (it's hard to see)

Welcome to Paranoia 101...

How is this legal? Apparently Formaldehyde in shampoos is very common. Here is an article I found on the subject.

The good news is my hair looks as great as a freshly preserved corpse.

this month's mantra

I made myself a sign that I could look at when I feel like I am overwhelmed by a project. Cheesy but it works! Yes, I can do this! I can be this cheesy.

3.5 thumbs up for men at wok.

So Sal & I finally tried Men at Wok (mentioned below) and we give it 3.5 thumbs up. We hold back half a thumb because we ordered steamed dumplings with some mystery meat inside that were completely inedible. The rest of the meal was super-excellent though! We took the un-used white rice and made rice pudding with it - so that was our dessert!

In other news I am not going to take Centrum vitamins anymore. I've been taking them consistently for a week and a half and I feel like crap. The vitamins made me feel like an elderly slug. I lost the will to do anything! Is this normal?! So no more vitamin supplements for me, I will try to buy more fresh fruit and eat vegetables like everyone else.

Best name for a Chinese restaurant I've seen!

Here are the originals-

Men at Work

ahh...the 80's. One of my favorite sections of this video is when one of the guys is dancing (1:36).

Pippi Longstocking - My hero

Jennifer made a comment about Pippi Longstocking and it led me on a all-things-Pippi hunt (Pippi suitcases!). Pippi is so great. *sigh* She is such an inspiration for independent women. I plan on renting and re-watching all the old Pippi movies when I get a chance. Who's with me?

I bought this binder a while back at kinokuniya and every time I look at it I feel like it is yelling at me to do it myself!

Tip of the Day - Don't hit any of your phalanges with a wooden mallet...it hurts...a lot.

I was trying to apply a snap to my belt late last night and I missed. I think I'm going to save up my pennies for a heavy duty snap setter and a new bionic fingertip.

Do you like my 30 sec. high-quality illustration :) ?

I just spotted my PB&J card on this Storque article. Very exciiiting! I think this card would be a perfect Valentine's day card!
