Meet Tommy Messengerbag!
I made this dude at the same time as Jimmy Backpack but haven't had the time to photograph him. He comes with his very own notebook. He dabbles in comic book writing and so he likes to keep his notebook ready in case of sudden inspiration.

I used one of the strawberryish shaped buttons that Cimba sent me to make this fuzzy turquoise pouch. I am trying to practice my hand stitching/applique abilities. I still have a long way to go.

Malisonian bag
This was in the finely wrapped package from the other day. A cute little pouchie from malisonian.etsy.com. I have been using it to keep my camera cozy. I think this would actually make a great gift for a guy. But I am going to keep it for myself, mine all mine!

hop hop till you don't stop...
I've been working on these bunny pouches for my shop. They will hop hop to my shop after I line them with fabric. Yes, I know I'm cheesy with my hip hop references... (what, what)

Sunday Softie Staredown!
This staredown was brought to you by Mod Octopod's new mom Amanda (craftmonkey) and the ravenous guard dogs of Coney Island!
My first zakka book/magazine!
I am going wacka for zakka right now. It is kind of like cuckoo for cocoa puffs but slightly different...I haven't figured out exactly what zakka means but it has something to do with 1. Handmade 2. Vintage-looking 3. Stuff for your house that you really don't need but have an uncontrollable urge to possess.
Oh how I love it so.
In this particular magazine (in Japanese) they've added a form where you can actually purchase the stuff from the magazine in it. Thank the lord that I do not understand Japanese or I would be in the poor house right now.

Inside Jimmy's sketchbook
on the left is side is Jimmy's date of birth and on the right was an early self-portrait, at that time of the sketch he was called "Jimmy Mezengrebagh" he later changed his name to Jimmy Backpack when he went through Ellis island.
Side note: I just realized that my cousin's last name translated from Italian means backpack! Ha! (no relation though)
