hi marilyn,
i am so in love with your paintings - i was thinking of taking some painting classes myself, maybe over there at the art students league, and was wondering if you had any good ones that you could recommend me?
i would love to learn some classical oil techniques, maybe portraits like the wonderful ones you do.
and congratulations on the show - i'll definitely check it out! :)
If I am in NYC, I will be there. Hope to see you again at IF.
if you go to the gallery... mine are on the back wall along with my classmates pieces.
As for teachers...
there are many good realism teachers at ASL.
I've heard that Dinnerstein is excellent, Pionk, rubenstein for drawing, Vavagiakis, nelson shanks... The best thing to do is to pick up the class catalog in the office and flip through it to see images of the teacher's work.
Hope this helps!
thanks so much for the tips - i'm really wanting to take some good solid oil technique class - it'll be a dream to be able to paint like you!
i should get myself up there and take a look for myself anyway. thanks!!
Good for you! Hope it's a raving success!
i went to the ASL yesterday and saw all your works - i really loved them even more in person!
i just might be taking some classes there, hopefully... you have definitely inspired me endlessly.
beautiful stuff!
