Mmm...string.
Strangely enough that reminds me- there are two things I've always wondered about your "so softies":
1) What type of yarn do you use? The colours are fab.
2) What type of crochet stitch do you use? It's not the single crochet that most people use which is part of what makes your softies so unique but I can't work out whether it's double or treble. This has been puzzling me for some time.
Thanks :)

hi,

I don't use a specific type/brand of yarn. I choose my yarn by color and/or texture.

I don't know what this type of stitch this is. I've been thinking it was called single crochet. This is how my mother taught me to do it, maybe this explains why I don't know how to follow patterns!

Thank you! I will wonder no more. And anyway it's much better not to follow patterns- I came up with Mr.Pigeon (http://thepigeonloftuk.blogspot.com/) when I was trying to make an eggplant! Free-form has much more interesting results.

same here! 80-90% of my characters were attempts at making something else. I guess the free-form "technique" is a good way to keep things original!
