U.K. here I come!
I will be visiting London,Manchester and Glasgow in a couple of weeks. In London I will have the most days- the 28-June 1 and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of which areas which would be best to find a hotel in and in general which areas I should make sure to see and fun things to do. I've been to London a couple times before, so I've already hit the major museums and touristy areas. So if you have any artsy fartsy suggestions I'm all ears :)

Although I live in Belfast now, I lived in London for 4 years and it was so great. I think its best to avoid touristy areas and go visit other areas such as Hampstead with its boutiques, Shoreditch and Brick Lane - this area may seem a bit grubby but it has such cool bars, Halal and bagel shops and Spitafileds Market with lots of cool stuff and Shoreditch is an up and coming area design wise - although be prepared to get lost in all those little back streets! As well as that there is Camden Market where you are bound to find lots of goodies and Covent Garden for its more upmarket appeal and don't forget a trip to Greenwhich - if its sunny Greenwhich is the perfect place to be with its big park and quaint little shops and the market is just great. Enjoy! Wish I were going too!! :)
Thanks Max! This really helps me!
wow! you lucky i dream to go to London some day, have a lot of fun and look for cute things to buy!
Um, I suggest you take me with you!
Southhall in West London /Middlesex is a great place to go its a predominately Indian area , fantastic sari/fabric shops, great little kitcsh kitcheny shops seling printed plastic plates, colourful bowls, dustpan and brushes etc basically loads of stuff. Also some fantastically cheap and delicious food places, if you visit try Gifto's or The Brilliant mmmnn getting hungry just thinking about them.
whatever and wherever you decide to go and do have lots of fun. x and may the sun shine for you, cos right now its raining.
Thanks! I wrote everything down!
