ok, I looked it up and it is an old proverb. phew :) It makes sense to me that if you have no plans or hopes for anything you will less likely be disappointed and in turn be happier.
Tea bag wisdom is a lot better than a fortune cookie I had last week. The fortune said "There you go. Whole wheat, fat-free green tea." It was mocking my meal choices.

It speaks about those that make all of these big plans with their life when they can't even guarantee they will be around in the next ten minutes.
But the thought that you could die any second and you have no control over your destiny is very paralyzing. Even if it is true.
Me, I'd rather worry about the cupcakes Im having tomorrow. Seems like more of an upbeat thought.
