wristband w/ handmade button, originally uploaded by m patrizio.

here is one of the buttons I made in action. I am nearly poo pooing my pantalones with the concept of making custom buttons now!

white shrink

white shrink, originally uploaded by m patrizio.

Here are my results with the white shrink paper. Unfortunately the red paint spread and turned the white orange, I tried to clean it up a bit but it still looks yucky. I decided to punch 2 holes in these so I can use them as buttons and with the scraps I made owl pull tabs for my future owl pouches.

shrink plastic after baking

polyshrink after baking, originally uploaded by m patrizio.

I think it came out pretty good for my first attempt. I had to retouch some of the paint after it was baked and then I shined them up with some acrylic varnish. I made some mini mushrooms with the left over pieces.

R.I.P. (Rubber In Pieces)

Polka D. Boots (2004-2006)
Protector, Rainy Day Companion, Friend

You were a good boot. You made people smile and laugh (with you, not at you of course). When I saw you in a shop window in London I knew we were meant to be together. You were alone, I held you in my arms, a size 10, perfect. My heart grew fonder. Something glimmered in my eyeballs, it was your £5 super sale price tag. I knew then it was TRUE love. I hope the large puddles in shoe heaven find you well. You will be missed.

Pear Keychain

I just added this pear keychain/ornament to the shop!

Also in shop news- lower shipping costs for my Canadian cousins! I know how the Etsy shoppin' Canadians hate to pay the "everywhere else" shipping fee on etsy! So I've added a separate shipping cost especially for them :) And also another new feature on etsy is combined shipping cost and a shopping cart! Go check it out if you haven't already!

The most perfectly stacked shirts I've ever seen

I was about to compliment the workers on their artfully stacked shirts but before I could they yelled at me for taking a photo. jerks.

I guess I looked like a terrorist that wanted to explode their on sale t-shirt selection.

After some research this morning I found out that it was designed by Masahiro Mori and that it is for sale online HERE. Check out those chopstick rests!

Also on the subject of birds, have you seen the Flights of Fancy group on Flickr? It is a group set up for images of crafted birds!

halloween candy after

halloween candy after, originally uploaded by m patrizio.

I ran out of the candy that I had purchased so I had to use the reserve Japanese candy that I had around.

A. Japanese milk candy
B. Japanese Watermelon candy
C. second rate American candy

You should have seen all the disappointed faces! It was actually pretty funny. That is what they deserved anyway when they showed up to my door with no costume and just a grocery bag! I know I am turning into one of those mean old ladies! I remember when I was a kid some old man gave me an unripe banana when I rang his bell. Next year fruits for everyone!
