Gimme Some Flipper
Timmie 59 and 60 added to the SHOP.
Tuesday, June 27, 2006
So Sal and I were on our merry way to Pennsylvania Dutch country to see some Amish peeps and buy some wooden things from them and maybe a pie, or a couple of pies, or a baker's dozen o' pies but then it started raining reeeeeally hard. We were on the NJ turnpike and had to decide if we were going to continue on to Penn. and risk not seeing anyone out but a couple of wet cows or gamble all the money we had in our pockets in Atlantic City. Hmm.. it was almost an ethical issue...good wholesome pureness vs. man made gambling vice laden hell.
As you can see by the glutonous photo above - we ended up choosing A.C.
We came home with 12 cents, some pocket lint and a belly full of sugar. Good Times.

I'm an aunt!
I've been shopping...
So I decided to invest my earnings from the fair by purchasing some work from other independent designers. I purchased the wallet above from three green apples, this limited edition dish(bottom) from Lena Corwin and this polka dot pocket journal from seedpod. I already own 2 of Three Green Apples wallets (I've been using them as wall art for now) but that Japanese owl print was irresistible! She must think I'm a nut job!

Renegade Tomorrow!!! aaaaahhhhh
If you are in the area come on down to the Renegade Craft Fair in Williamsburg in the lovely borough of Brooklyn where I was born and raised from lovely italian farmer immigrant parents (who are also crafty) and I will be table #43 and I will probably be sweating because it is supposed to be 90 degrees but don't worry because I will drink lots of liquids and I won't pass out.

...and I'm back.
I've safely landed back in the u.s. of a. from a lovely adventure in the U.K.. Fuzzy Bunny and I accompanied my brother to go check out some David Gilmour (formerly of Pink Floyd) shows in Glasgow, Manchester and London.
I've never seen so many sheep in my whole life! I was hoping to take a picture with one of them or even a herd but unfortunately didn't get a chance. Northern England is so beautiful, I just wanted to throw myself down the lush green hills (carefully of course) and roll around all day. No rolling around actually occurred because we were on a tight schedule.Boo-Hoo.
Here are the highlights:
1. I saw a hedgehog close-up! They are so cute! I wanted to put one in my luggage. I'm sure the customs agents would have loved that!
2. The amazingly green rolling hills, just imagine where the teletubbies live...it was just like that!
3. The boat ride from westminster to greenwich on the river Thames suggested by a lovely internet buddy!
4. Also suggested by one of you sweet peeps was a visit to brick lane/shoreditch near the Spitalfields market! I loved this so much! It was exactly what I was looking for. The quaint artsy shops reminded me of Park Slope,Dumbo and Williamsburg in Brooklyn which are my favorite spots around NYC!

So for the next 2 weeks I need to haul arse and get some goods ready for the renegade fair.
Thanks to Max,Cocoakoala, and Sharon for the tips!
